Well, I have one anyway... Once again I find I'm shockingly behind with my blog, which is completely unfair to those of you who do check it out occasionally. All I can do is blame the grading. End of the semester is always a giant slog through papers, with no time to write, no time to visit with my friends, no time even for a little play...and believe me I could use some play at the moment. Speaking of which, I could use a new vibe, if anyone out there wants to play Santa. I've been a good girl...I promise. Can almost see the grading finish line...planning to have a little hot cocoa spiked with Irish Cream and curl up in front of a Hallmark Holiday Movie Marathon. I might not resurface until the Spring thaw.

So...just about the only time I actually like Monday is when it happens in a short week like this one. About two-thirds of my students have already headed home for the holidays, so lots of empty classrooms. And I confess that my own thoughts are already on turkey. Haven't decided if I'll make it out on Black Friday. To be honest I've finished up my Christmas shopping, but I do like seeing the crowds and having strangers press up against me. Hope your holiday is wonderful. It's a great time to curl up with a book -- hint, hint! I'll make you a deal: if you promise to do a little reading, I'll promise to do a little writing. I know we say it every year...stop with the Christmas atmosphere before Thanksgiving. But let me say it again for this year...Stop with the Christmas atmosphere!
Look, no one likes Christmas better than me: wreaths and holly...curling up by the fire to watch two hundred hours of Halmark Channel holiday movies dressed in my sexiest elf costume. And I want it here faster than most people do. But I suppose the fact that Thanksgiving falls so early this year means we have to break out the eggnog and mistletoe a little earlier too. I read somewhere today that Wal-Mart already has Black Friday deals up. At my house there's a simple rule: no holiday music until after Thanksgiving dinner. No Frank Sinatra singing "Let it Snow," no Band Aid singing "Do They Know it's Christmas," no Burl Ives belting out "It's a Holly Jolly Christmas." Is it too much to ask for all the malls and discount store to do the same? I'll be getting presents together soon though. No peaking! A bit of a secret I'm passing along to all of you...
I've put up one of my books, Sister Shelly Needs a Baby, for free at Amazon through the weekend. If you'd like to see what some of my writing is like, this is a perfect time! And don't forget about my new novella, up now at Amazon -- The Bobby Soxer and the Billionaire. Just a little thank you to all of your for your support. Excited to let everyone know that my newest title, "The Bobby Soxer and the Billionaire" is processing at Amazon. As soon as it get the go-ahead there it should be up. I've been working lately on longer works, just to see if I can't stretch myself a little story-wise. Also, this one, as the title implies, is set in 1960. As always, I'd love to hear what you think. So much so I'd be willing to send you one of my other titles for free if you had some feedback to offer on this one. Plus, you'd be making a cute redhead very happy!!! It's been the longest of weeks...too many staff meetings, too many papers, too many students in my office. Every inch of my body aches. Was trying hard to think of what I might do to unwind, to get a little me time to respond to my mental and, uh, physical needs. I happened across this list today, and now I have plans for a bottle of wine and one of these films tonight. I'm thinking Blue Valentine? I'll let you know how it goes. Anyone out there have similar plans? www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/best-film-sex-scenes-films-top-10-movies-mulholland-drive-moonlight-gods-own-country-blue-valentine-a8541826.html My favorite line from this article: "the boundary separating acceptable from not appears increasingly...fuzzy." www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/all-about-sex/201810/most-americans-have-tried-unconventional-sex So it's no secret that women tend to be more turned on by the imagination than by visual stimulation. Don't get me wrong, I like a nasty video as much as the next person. But I'll confess that there's nothing like settling in with a good long story on reddit or literotica...something well-crafted -- with a good plot, some tantalizing suspense, and of course cracking good sex. The mindfuck is the very best kind of fuck I find. I guess that's what draws me to writing these sorts of stories: the quest to write things that get other people off in a satisfying way.
Even so, I have grown quite fond lately of a kind of story/ video compromise -- the audio sex story. I'm especially fond of GoneWild Audio on reddit. This tale in particular really got my motor running. It involves a starlet who needs to practice for her first big sex scene. See what you think. And do you think I should experiment with posting an audio file of one of my stories? And if so, which one do you think would work the best? I'm excited to have a new book up recently at Amazon -- Watching My Stepdaughter. It's all about a man who happens to catch his step-daughter doing some naughty things with her boyfriend. His first reaction is to blow his top, but you know, we were all young once. After thinking it over a little, and remembering what his own teenage years were like, he decides he'd rather help them out. Of course, it's not all for their benefit -- he manages to get himself a nice front row seat for some of the action via a nifty computer program that lets him see everything that goes on in his daughter's room. I'm already at work on my next idea -- the story of a bobby soxer and a young billionaire, set in 1960. I've also been working on something longer, and maybe a little more fantastic in scope. And of course, as I always say, I'd love to hear your ideas! What kinds of things are floating around in your dirty imagination? Give me a challenge! |
